Joe Louis Wilder was born December 19, 1958, to Mr. J.D. and Mrs. Lucille Wilder of Reynolds, Georgia. Joe departed an early life on October 13, 2020. He is survived by his son, Quinton Jones of Athens, Georgia; four grandchildren, Jaquvean Jones of Greensboro, Georgia, Quinton Jones, Jr., Quinn Jones, and Londyna Jones all of Athens, Georgia; Frances Burdette, a very close friend; six sisters, Jennie Booker of Atlanta, Georgia, Betty (Terry) McKnight of Conyers, Georgia, Nell Wilder of Atlanta, Georgia, Inez Holloway of Atlanta, Georgia, Lois Wilder of New York City, and Priscilla Wilder of Reynolds, Georgia; four brothers, Howard (Jannie) Wilder of Atlanta, Georgia, Larry (Johnnie) Wilder of Atlanta, Georgia, Curtis (Janet) Threat of Texas, and J.D. Wilder, Jr. of Reynolds, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were her siblings Gussie Lippett, Catherine Mays, James Wilder, Alma Wilder, and Edward C. Wilder. Following his demise, his sister, Lora Ann Wilder also deceased.
Joe graduated from Taylor County High School. He worked numerous job, being very good with his hands. His main job was a Supervisor of Customs Inspections with International Flight. Joe will be missed by everyone who knew him.
