Howard Wilder Obituary

Howard James Wilder, a beloved husband, father, grandfather,
coach, and dedicated worker, was born on February 11, 1960, in Reynolds, GA, to the
late James Daniel and Lucille Wilder. He embarked on a journey filled with
accomplishments, love, and cherished memories until his peaceful passing.

After graduating from Taylor County High School, Howard enlisted in the
United States Army. While serving, Howard achieved several notable milestones
throughout his service. His exceptional contributions were recognized, and he
received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good
Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Army NCO Professional
Development (Numeral3). Additionally, Howard proudly wore the Army Retired
Lapel.


Within his family, Howard found immeasurable joy and fulfillment. He was a
loving and devoted husband to his wife, Jannie Wilder, and a proud father to their
two children, Quinisha Wilder and Howard Wilder Jr. His love and support extended
to his two cherished grandchildren, Lyric Wilder and Jaquavious Wallace. Howard
cherished spending quality time with his loved ones, creating countless precious
memories that will forever be treasured.


Outside of his military service and family life, Howard had a passion for fishing
and coaching. Often seeking solace and tranquility, he would cast his line,
appreciating the serenity that nature provided. His love for fishing served as a
reminder of the simple pleasures in life.

For over two decades, Howard served diligently as a dedicated worker within
the postal system. His commitment and strong work ethic left a lasting impact on his
colleagues and those he served.

Those who knew Howard would describe him as a man of few words but always
had a warm smile. He possessed a gentle and kind-hearted nature that endeared him
to his family and friends.

Howard’s legacy will be cherished by his brothers, J. D. Wilder, Larry
(Johnnie) Wilder, Curtis (Janet) Threat; sisters, Betty (Terry) McKnight ,Nell Wilder,
Lois Wilder, Inez Holloway and Priscilla Wilder and a host of nieces, nephews family
and friends. His presence will forever be missed, but the memories he leaves behind
will continue to bring comfort and love to those who were fortunate enough to have
known him.


Howard was preceded in eternal rest by Gussie Lippett, Lora Ann Wilder,
Catherine Wilder, James Wilder, Charles Wilder, Albert “Alma” Wilder, Joe Lewis
Wilder, and Jennie Booker.


As we bid farewell to Howard James Wilder, and the everlasting impact he had
on our lives. May his soul find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the memories
that will forever hold him close in our hearts.
