Gladys Mae Talton

Gladys Mae Talton was born on May 31, 1946 in Reynolds
(Taylor County) Georgia to the late Mr. Henry Van
Kendrick Sr. and Mrs. Sallie Lee Kendrick.

Gladys attended Crawford County Schools where she
graduated in 1965. She later jointed in Holy Matrimony to
the late J. B. (“Root”) Talton.

She had love for people. She would open her door for
anyone that was hungry or in need of any type of help.
She departed this world on June 9, 2023, at Piedmont
Macon North Hospital in Macon, Georgia. She leaves to
cherish her memories six children, Loretta Talton, Alfred
Talton, Calvin Talton, Alonzo (Mellanice) Talton, Teresa
Talton, Anthony Talton; sisters, Ms. Lillie B. Knolton, Ms.
Jospehine Kendrick, Ms. Shirley Kendrick, Ms. Sylvia
Prater, Mrs. Odessa (Benjamin) Woodard, and Ms. Marvene

Kendrick; one brother, Fletcher (Margaret) Kendrick; sister-
in-law, Dorothy Mae Andrews; brothers-in-law, Felton

(Easter) Talton, L.J. (Ann) Talton, and Edward Talton; one
aunt, Ms. Lucille Respress; one uncle, Mr. Bobby Reeves;
eleven grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a
host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and lots of
dedicated friends, and a nephew she loved like a son, Terry
Knolton and an adopted son, Tony Stroud.
